We are now forcing random screenshots at random intervals to help enforce a clean game for everyone to play. If you are one of the lucky ones and the scanner picks you out to screenshot, you need to follow the on-screen instructions in a timely fashion or the scanner will automatically ban you when it does not receive the screenshots back.
It's going to force 3 screenshots into your screenshots folder and they will be named something like this: [email]sbstrinity@gmail.com_Models_###.tga[/email] What you need to do is either send all 3 as they are or zip them up and send to sbstrinity@gmail.com. Do not attempt to edit or convert in anyway or the ban will not be prevented. It may force screenshots anywhere from up to 10 minutes apart to 5 days. You have been warned. |

It isn't created until a screenshot is taken. When a screenshot is made a "screenshots" folder will be created in your mainta or maintt folder.

I`ve taken plenty of f12 screenshots. There is no folder. I've looked everywhere..

I think I have her problem figured out, but I don't have the solution. I'm willing to bet that her F12 has been unbound for taking screenshots, hence no real screenshots are being taken, and hence no folder is being created. Can someone give her the code to type into her console to bind F12 to take screenshots? It's probably something like... bind F12 "screenshot"

Thanks. Though I seem to have a screenshots folder on my desktop, when my laptop is working again, I'll have to do that on it..

Wow. Are there really that many idiots out there still trying to cheat while they play?
 Well I hope the instructions are easy to follow. LOL I'm prone to premature senior moments.  But seriously, a sensible precaution.

I was picked tonight........
I had 3 pictures in my folder. I was suprised though, I must not know what you look for to find a cheater, they were not even action pics. At the risk of changing anything I just send them as is. They were 3 meg. each. I hope that is not to big a file (9 meg) to send. If you don't have them in your inbox let me know. Savage |

took a screenshot last night to check it out, saw the post on the screen that said a screenshot had be taken but i cannot find any screenshot folders. guess i will try again tonight

First off, it must be an F12 screen shot, and it will make a folder named "screenshots" in your mainta (or maintt). Open that up and there is will be. Hitting "print screen" or using some other outside program to take a screen shot will not do it.

I can't seem to program my f12 key to take a screen in game. Not that I've played this week. LOL Horrid stomach virus that's gone finally. Anyway, maybe it's my keyboard but when I hit the f12 key in game I just get zapped to my desktop cause the key wants to be assigned. However, I can't figure out how to tell it to take a screen. It didn't any of the times I tried. At least no screenshots folder was made. Could it be because there is a designated 'print screen' key on my keyboard already? I'd hate to get the message in game and be unable to take the needed screens.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Vista ...for those running vista ...when u go into mainta or maintt depending whether you run spear or break...there is a file u click at top midle of screen ....it is called "compatibility folder" click it , it will open up "screen shot" folder and several others as well...i had a tough time finding my unamed soldier file .but low and behold there it was....and for everyone else that can't find "sceeenshot" folder still (after all this help)...i believe the ever useful ,been around longer than Trinity...is called the
"search" button ,you can use it to find anything that is on your computer ,just type in "name " and let "search" do the looking for you. oh ya and if you don't know how to use "search" button , pack up your computer and send it to me and I will send you a large bag of dorritos to munch on..I will even include instructions on how to open the bag,... hope this helps ...i had to use the "search" button to find this link to this post ...haha dak |

I'm on Windows XP here and there is no Compatibility file in either my Main or Mainta folder.
 I have done a search and the only screenshot, screenshots, screen shot or screen shots items on my PC belong to Oblivion and Morrowind. No compatibility folder at all came up in a search. So, I am at a loss.

Well, if you don't have a Screenshot folder and are worry'n Screenshot folder should be created if you get screenshoted. if your trying to bind the key so you can take your own screen shots it's. ( bind F12 screenshot ) in your console without the brackets. that will bind the F12 key to take a screen shot when pressed and should create the folder when you press it the first time after binding it. When you press F12 to take a shot it should say it on your screen in the middle. that it took a Screenshot. Print Screen key will not create a Screenshot folder or put a Screenshot in your game directory. it will copy a picture of the screen so you can paste it into paint.

Well I'm worried because I'm supposed to take these screens myself and send them in right? Tried the bind F12 screenshot in the console. Still didn't work. Hitting F12 is still sending me to the desktop no matter what I assign it to outside the game.
 I'm about to sic my husband on this. LOL He's not the computer illiterate I am. He may have more luck figuring this out. Edit: Rereading the first post I think I misunderstood that a bit, so the program is going to take the screens itself yes? I'm still concerned I don't have a screenshot or the compatibility folder it's supposed to be in.

Frag, you are misunderstanding it. A program is forcing the screen shots, but people are just trying to locate their SS folder in advance.

Ya frag , its random that the software picks you , someone else or me. it doesnt discriminate on how bad or good you are or if you can take screen shots or not. it will screenshot you and if it does it makes a folder in your mohaa directory called Screenshots and thats where they will be. and than you just send a email with those 3 files attached and if your email wont allow it in that format you may have to zip them and then send them. thats all there is to it. nothing to hard. what others are trying to figure out is how to take there own screenshots of them playing or there scores or what have you. this is 1 thread with 2 differnt conversations about screenshots going on. hope this helps explain whats going on a bit.

I think there is a program in the download section that allows you to see the files but i am unsure what it's called. I personally use irfanview from http://www.irfanview.ca/

Remember, don't send it in to anyone. The program took the shots that were to be sent in, not people taking their own shots and sending them in.

Vespid,
I'm still new to the box, but I screenshotted (tried to) someone dropping the F bomb. I don't remember the full name of the person, that was why I wanted to check it out before mentioning it. They left within 5 minutes of the incident. Should I do anything about it or should I just drop it? Thanks |

Ah. Got it. You can send it to trinity but if it wasn't on server 1, I wouldn't really sweat it. Tell Trinity the day and approx time it happened, too, so he can track it down if he wants to.
