Here it comes: The next miniseries that many of us have been greatly looking forward to. I suspect many of you are like me and have already memorized every moment of Band of Brothers, and next comes...

The Pacific

Debuts March 14 on HBO, and from the trailers I've seen it's looking good.

Band of Brothers is the best thing ever put on film IMHO. Take the time to watch it with your full attention over a few days from start to finish - it truly is an amazing experience. The more I watch it, the better it is as I notice more about the stories of the individual soldiers. I bet about 1/3 of the guys in this clan own the set like I do.

I can't imagine how The Pacific will be able to top it, I'm just hoping that it is decent.

I second everything Vespid said. I'll just add this warning: the language is fairly coarse. Even the vets from Easy Company themselves commented about it to the filmmakers. There is also one episode that opens with brief nudity. So be aware of that, especially if you intend to watch it with young children around.

Yeah, good point, Skull. Some parts are still hard for me to watch. It's easy to see why so many WWII vets didn't like to talk about their experience, my dad included.
